Bud Petry
President Bud has been on the board for 8 years and has served as President since 2015. He works in agriculture and has 1 graduated son and 2 sons currently at CP Schools. Term Ends: April 2023 Michael Kaeb
Member Michael was born and raised in Cissna Park and is a former graduate of Cissna Park Schools. He works in agriculture and has three children who currently attend Cissna Park schools. Term Ends: April 2023 |
Mark Wilkening
Vice President Mark has been on the board for about 15 years and has served as President in the past. He is a farmer and had 5 children graduate from Cissna Park School. Term Ends: April 2025 Kristina Phelan
Member Kristina moved to town in 2013 from Washington State. She is a former substitute teacher and current works as a freelance writer. Kristina has 3 children at Cissna Park Schools. Term Ends: April 2025 |
Jason Edelman
Member Jason is in his second term on the board. He is a farmer that has a daughter that graduated from Cissna Park Schools and one currently attending. Term Ends: April 2023 Rachel Hurliman

Brent Neukomm
Member Brent was born and raised in the area and is a former graduate of Cissna Park School. He is in his second term on the board and is a farmer. Brent has 4 children currently at Cissna Park Schools. Term Ends: April 2025 |
Board Member Training:
State Law requires that newly elected or appointed board members receive training in the following areas:
Open Meetings Act (OMA); Professional Development Leadership (PDLT); and Performance Evaluation Reform Act (PERA). OMA training is to occur within 90 days of being seated or appointed, while PDLT is to occur within one year of being seated or appointed. PERA training must occur prior to voting on a dismissal based upon an “optional alternative evaluative dismissal process for PERA evaluations.”
